Classroom Lists:  Please make note of your child's Student ID#.  On Wednesday, September 4, 2019 after 3:30 pm, the new class listswill be posted at the main entrance of the school.  You must have your child's Student ID# to determine their assigned class.  Student names are not used, only the Student ID#.

Student-Parent Portal:  Alternatively, you may also check the Student-Parent Portal (IF you have a login) to see the name of your child's new teacher.  BUT, please be aware that this information may change right up until school begins on September 5, 2019.  Within the first week of school, each student will bring home a Student-Parent Portal Letter with information on how to set up your Student-Parent Portal if you have not already done so.

New Primary Students:  All parents/guardians of new primary students should have received a letter in August with the name of their child's teacher and a balloon colour that you should look for on the first day of school where you will meet your child's teacher.  The letter also provided your child's Student ID# which is needed for the Student-Parent Portal and for BusPlanner.  If you are unsure, please ask any teacher or volunteer holding a clipboard and they can assist you.

First Day of School:  The first day of school is on Thursday, September 5th at 8:35 am.  Teachers will be holding signs with their name.  The class names are also posted on the entrance doors that each class will be using, so students should gather at the appropriate entrance door.

Driveway/Gate:  Due to ongoing safety concerns for our Bedford South School students and staff, the gate at the bottom of the driveway will be CLOSED for drop-off traffic between 8:15 to 9:00 am and for pick-up traffic between 2:15-3:15 pm daily.

• Please review your present method of getting your children to school. The closer you get to the school, the more dangerous it gets for all children, including those who are driven to school.
• If driving remains necessary to you, please reassess your current travel arrangements and consider finding a spot 2-3 blocks away from the school to park or drop-off/pick-up your children, and walk with them to school.
• Please plan accordingly, adjust your time for walking to and from school with your children.
• Also, please note and obey all traffic and parking regulations. Parking is currently allowed on most streets around the school, but not allowed on the back loop.
